More Pictures from Pine Mountain Georgia

Is that snow!? It is November after all . . . NOW I remember . . .
"O I wish I was in the land o' cotton . . .

FDR's mountain estate is near the towns of Pine Mountain and Warm Springs.
Nearby overlooks.

Ah! Camping!! Campfire and all! Even chilly!!

Where are we?

BB gun with CO2 - what fun!! Playing Daniel Boone with cans and pine cones for targets, off the Pine Mountain trail.

Roosevelt's wheel chair - only for family and friends to see. He drove himself and had cars retrofitted with hand controls. Always presented an illusion to the public that he could walk.

Colin, guarding the passageway of States, between FDR's Little White House and the old museum. Each state sent a piece of indigenous stone. Pretty cool!

CAMPING TRIP TO GEORGIA

When you live in Southwest Florida you have to drive great distances to see fall colored leaves.
Our trek took us to west-central Georgia to the Franklin D. Roosevelt State Park in Pine Mountain Georgia. Which is just north of Columbus, GA near Alabama. A distance of about 550 miles.
We had a great time.
Pine Mountain Valley
John standing in front of FDR's Little White House in Warm Springs, where he went to bathe in the warm waters of the springs. The house is quite modest in size, not anything like vacation homes built in this era.
